Mala Making Workshop (The Sacred Space)

Mala Prayer Bead Workshop

In this mala making workshop, I will walk you through creating your own wood and crystal Mala Prayer Bead.

For thousands of years malas, Sanskrit for “Garland,” have been used as a tool for mindfulness during mediation. In the Sanskrit alphabet, there are 54 letters and each has a Shiva (masculine) and Shakti (feminine) variation so 54 x 2 equals 108. For this reason, malas  have 108 beads — an auspicious number representing peace, harmony & spiritual fulfillment. At the end of the workshop, Julia will lead the group in a cacao meditation to cleanse, bless and set intentions with your mala. Materials are included to create one wood and crystal beaded mala with a suede or silk tassel. We will have the tables, chairs, tools and materials you need and it will be held in our outdoor but fully covered garden workshop space.

Enjoy the Sacred Space Garden after and truly connect with your Mala and intention.

It is a gift to be able to serve this community here at The Sacred Space, this space is truly sacred. You feel it upon entering the door and once you walk thru the garden you know why it was deemed “Sacred Space “ by so many who have come before and hosted events. We hope you come and enjoy this Sacred workshop in this Sacred Space.
